Hank began his playing career in Mound, MN, where he played through high school. He was a four-year letter winner, a two-year all conference winner, and a one-year all conference honorable mention. After his freshman year, he was coached by NHL defenseman Nate Schmidt at Phase 5 of the Minnesota High Performance Program, which included a week-long camp in St. Cloud with the top 102 ranked skaters in Minnesota. As a senior, he was a Reed Larson award finalist for the top defenseman in the state. In 2018, he joined the North Iowa Bulls of the NA3HL and helped bring the team to a divisional championship and to the Fraser Cup semifinals. During the offseason, Hank was drafted by the Minnesota Magicians in the 2019 NAHL entry-level draft. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury during offseason training that required multiple surgeries and ended his playing career. In the past few years, he has been a scout for the North Iowa Bulls as they transitioned to the NAHL. Now, as a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota with a major in accounting and finance, Hank is excited to continue his hockey career as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings.
